Vivek Waghray

Most of who I am consists of my childhood in America and my experience in India. I've moved 5 times and one of those times consisted of living in India for 4 years. Having moved so much I've learned to adapt and handle different atmospheres. I love traveling and exploring new places.

During my time at UMD and Public Leadership/Scholars, I have made new friends and gained new experiences. Spending time here I've had the chance to enjoy and pursue new interests. I want to leave UMD with new friends and a path to success. Through my time in PL, I have gained a better understanding of proper leadership skills and how to apply them efficiently. Along with that, I've improved my communication and speaking skills and expanded my network. I love collaborating with others and I hope during these years I am able to make good connections and friendships. Specifically, with UMD, I hope to learn more about computer science and gain opportunities to experience real-life work and the application of what I learn. My main goal is to take part in some internship opportunities which can hopefully contribute to my job choices when I graduate.
